We are experimenting with a new marketing and business strategy. Instead of spending tons of money on print and radio ads, I've decided to reduce the price of a basic massage dramatically.
I have to sell them in blocks (kind of like BJ's).They are only $50 for a full hour massage by a licensed massage therapist. I have felt for a long time that massage and bodywork are not just a luxury, but part of a healthy life. To prove it I'm trying to make massage as affordable as I can.
The Golden Ticket is 10 massages for $500. The ticket is actually a packet of vouchers each worth a full hour massage, or $50 toward any other service we offer at Bodywork Professionals. Each voucher can be given away or used by the person who bought it. So you could buy a ticket and give 5 away and keep 5 for yourself to get sessions when you need them, or keep them all and use them once a month.
A question I get all the time is "Do you take insurance?". The answer is no, but I'm able to do things like this because I don't take insurance. Being outside the insurance system offers tons of flexibility for a small business like myself to do creative and innovative things, while keeping our prices down. Because this is a free market and you can go to anybody out there, we have to be good at what we do to stay in business. Let me tell you, we are excellent at what we do. I have a team of people who have made bodywork their career, and you'll appreciate that after you visit us. Beside, if your insurance covered massage, your insurance would just cost more. You'd by paying for it one way or another. As it stands, you get to decide where to take your business, and people like me are competing for you.One difference in our work is we are a teaching business. Our therapist work together to share knowledge and techniques with each other. It's not uncommon to have a session with me (Nick) and to be asked if it's aright for another therapist to observe or even help. It's always the clients choice to have a 4 handed session, but they often agree, and so far its been to their benefit. In this why I'm able to share some of the things I've learned from 11 years of practice.
So tell your friends, family, and people you like about the Golden Ticket so we can keep our prices down.
Keep checking back as we have some more cool things on the horizon. If you have any feedback or ideas for us shoot us an email with the ling at the bottom of this page.
